Oasis sold half a million tickets in just an hour as their North American tour dates immediately sold out.
The ‘Wonderwall’ rockers announced the first international dates for their much-anticipated ‘Oasis Live ’25’ reunion tour last week but tickets for the the shows in Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey, Los Angeles and Mexico City were rapidly snapped up.
It will be the first time that Oasis have performed in North America and Mexico since 2008 when they toured their seventh studio album ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ – which was brought to an abrupt end the following year as Noel Gallagher quit the band in the wake of a backstage bust-up with younger brother Liam Gallagher as they were due to perform in Paris.
The Britpop icons have already sold out 19 stadium shows across the UK and Ireland next summer.
Meanwhile, the Gallagher brothers are set to cash in on the reunion tour with a string of merchandise and have “covered everything” from fly swatters to ironing boards with their new trademark.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “They have big plans for merchandise.
“Millions of people wanted to get tickets to the shows and Oasis know they’ll also be splashing the cash on branded stuff.
“The new trademark is for Oasis Live ’25 and covers everything.
“Clothes pegs and Christmas wreaths, deodorants and moisturisers are also listed.”
Liam has also joked about the prospect of Oasis going on an “old dears” tour with Britpop rivals Blur.
The 52-year-old musician posted on X in reply to a fan: “I love Blur and at some point we have to do n old dears tour (sic).”
